iPad & Chromebook Help


  • Bring your device every day. 

  • Charge your device. Replacing a broken charger is your responsibility. Chromebook chargers can be purchased through the district, please see the Media Specialists.

  • Use the technology responsibly;

    • Do not take photos, video, audio of anyone without their permission.

    • Do not post information about anyone without their permission.

  • Back up your iPad and apps using iCloud. Also, make sure the backup is turned on in your individual app's settings, especially Notability (back up to Drive and iCloud).

  • Download software updates.

What if my device is not working or broken?

Bring your device to the Library Media Center. The librarians will troubleshoot with you first. If a repair or replacement is needed, we will help fill out the necessary forms.

Internet Connection

iPads will connect to the PTHSD network. Chromebooks will connect to PTHSD1X.
For iPads: If you cannot connect do the following: Make sure you have the latest software update and check the date/time in "Settings." Do a "hard reset" by holding down the home button and the on/off button until you see the apple icon on your screen. Reset your network settings by going to Settings > General > Reset> Reset Network Settings. If you still cannot connect, come see the Media Specialists.
